Truck hit 120k miles, time for coolant flush, rear diff and needed an oil change. If you're in South Texas or Houston surroundings, Kennedy automotive solutions is your Toyota go to. One more 2nd gen inside getting a starter too.

So with the Grille, could a guy fab a front bumper that is flat, straight across the top? Hard to tell but the pics look like the gap created would allow that.

To be honest the gap isn’t really that bad
And if your truck is darker it blends in well I’ll get a pic of the gap when I get back to the shop
To fab a bumper filler would be ALOT of work you would be better to convert to the sequoia bumper assy.

I wouldn't fab a filler, but an entire bumper, done it before for my first gen Tundra. Don't want any plastic.

Installed a first generation DECKED system in my truck. It was only installed for a couple of months in the previous owners use and almost no use. It was also for the 5.5’ bed and I have the 6.6’ bed, but couldn’t pass it up, got it for a STEAL of $400. Paid $200 and traded a AR lower I’ve been sitting on for a bit and was never gonna build. Drilled and installed some eye bolts to mount it in the front so I didn’t have to modify the system, and I will fab something up as a cover plate in the front. Will work fine when I go camping I can put gas cans, firewood, generator whatever will fit up in the area in front of the system. Stoked!!!!

    Right!

After dorking around for the last couple of years I finally pulled the trigger on a color match Rock Warrior grill for the truck and the Mrs says "what's wrong with the chrome? I think it looks good."

I told her "after 35 years of marriage, it may be time for a divorce".

Installed the DIY version of the AIP bypass today on my 2008 CM. Every time I heard the pumps run at startup I could feel a ticking clock counting down to disaster if I didn’t do it.

The “for educational purposes only” instructions that I found on this forum were very helpful. With a relay, some connectors, and a few feet of wire that in total cost me less than $20, it took me about an hour to get it all set up. Saved the multiple hundreds on the retail bypass kit, and potential thousands on dealer fix if the pumps went out. Very pleased when everything started up fine, no error lights, and most importantly no pumps!

My goodness. AJT keeps releasing super specific vehicle accessories (that I very much appreciate!). I keep thinking there's no way there's a market for such a small niche of vehicle owners. Then he releases even more small stuff. So I'm taking it that there really are more people looking to do small, (mostly) cosmetic mods to their vehicles for him to make it worth his while.

Is it belt molding that I need? If I'm replacing all 4 at $20 a minimum a piece isnt that the same of what a dealer would charge?

That is not the belt molding the belt runs horizontal at the bottom of the window and top of door that is the run channel and I’m thinking it’s gonna be pretty pricey just for one. And you will have to take the door panel off I believe it is bolted to the door.

Hang on my bad sort of. Yes they are belt mldgs. In the first pics you posted but the run channel in the last pic
And toyo is the only place you can get them. Aftermarket doesn’t make them that I know off

20200429_194558.jpg Removed the latch. Hated the placement and the bracket sucked. Theres a well placed zip tie to unlatch it now.
