Ok so not really, I just always try to make a catchy thread title to get people to come in to take a look.

So the deets...2016 SR5 4x4 Crewmax. Let me start by saying that I feel like Tundras from the factory are some of the most stable, solid trucks anyone can ask for. Last year I put 5100s on the front at the middle setting with factory TRD wheels and 295/70r18 Cooper STT Pros. Drove awesome, no change from factory->fast forward to a month ago. I wanted a bit more lift so I put on 2 Coachbuilder shims per side to bring the ride height from 1.5 to 2.5 inches. Kept same wheels and tires with no other modications to steering and did not add diff drop.

The alignment shop got her aligned and we're good to go. Now I may be totally imagining the bump steer/dead spot in steering but has anyone else got this, even a little bit? Anyone thats ever driven a mid 90s Cummins knows the feeling...like driving a toaster through a carwash!

I know I am being super nit picky but I was thinking about taking out the top shim to drop it down to a 2 inch level? All tires are balanced true, air pressure at appropriate levels. The truck still runs like a striped ass ape and handles beautifully...I just feel like its not quite as responsive as before. And maybe I have unrealistic expectations about what to expect after adding these aftermarket accessories.

I have not done any other front suspension modifications and am only going to be installing Coachbuilder +1 shackles out back this weekend to round out my full suspension upgrades.

    Anyways thanks for your help/suggestions.

    God bless

Your caster is most likely low, thanks to maxed-out adjustment of your LCA cams with 2.5” of lift. Aftermarket adjustable UCA’s can solve that.

As for the toaster, might I suggest a touchless wash?

Thanks for the response LP! Could I drop it down to 2" and get away from having to get UCA's?

Should be able to. TRD PRO’s do just that.
