Funny. My dad is the opposite so I try to think of him when I look at stuff and just want the quick easy fix.
He always says, ‘There are two ways of doing something, the easy quick way, and the right way.’

plus, you do it right the first time and there won’t be a second time

Pops used to be that way! It seems like each year he becomes more like his father.

I miss the days of working on stuff together, and being on the same wavelength. A step up from my flashlight holding days. LOL

I have learned a lot from him, and more since then. Special thanks to all here who have guided me.

Any one use one of these adapters for the brake Resi to pressurize the system?

Will be replacing rear brake line with an extended one and some front SS Lines w banjo conversion here shortly on my truck and will be doing brakes on my wife’s 4Runner.

would save me time (and my wife wouldn’t have to help) if these adapters would seal the system at the cap.

    Wow, I'm the exact opposite.
How many headliners have I reupholstered, seats rebuilt, interiors swapped, airbags replaced. The interior is my friend.
Under the hood - The Fates mock & taunt me. How many bolt heads have I snapped off, how much dis & re assembly to install the gasket I forgot, misconnected the only 2 wires under a hood possible to misconnect, … Under the hood thar be gremlins.

Think I'll go buy a white truck. ;-)

I’ve got the Motive Bleeder ordered but the attachment for the master cylinder doesn’t seal without a major hassle. So I’ll probably go with the red master cylinder attachment.
    Buy once. Cry once.

Gave the Tundra an "Italian Tune-up" 219.3 miles of it. Seems to have agreed with the old girl.
Also learned that she's not the most stable at 95 (on a limited access not public road of course).
Also learned she can easily spank an STI in the twisties when the STI driver can't shift for cr*p.

When the Tundra & I play sporty, reminds me I should get it a bumper sticker "got 8?"
Sure can be fun driving these 1st gen's.

anytime backup and front camera module ordered.. ships out friday. can turn on the rear camera whenever, turn on a front camera (i'll add that soon...) and it'll still have a normal functioning backup camera.

best part is all i do is tap the MODE button on the steering wheel twice and the camera turns on, up down arrows switch between cameras $125, not bad for added functionality and to make it a little easier to fit it in the tighter spot of the garage

I have the motive and the Toyota adapter. It's pretty damn fiddly but once you get it set up right it works. I still think the good old yell at wife to pump and hold the pedal method gets better results, but the motive will work.

Part of the difficulty is getting the adapter centered properly. It's a beveled surface that goes over the resi opening, if its shifted off center at all it will spew under pressure at some point.

It only works with factory radios with the correct plugs. 17-19 Toyota 86 radios supposedly work according to the car solutions website (manufacturer) I will report back when I get it in and installed (it will be rear only for a little bit though) front will come later.

We spent all weekend moving. I'm exhausted.

The Tundra hauled a lot of stuff but my poor leaf springs just can't handle much weight. It's silly looking at times. Leaf packs are working their way up the priority list.

Get some used 2nd gen taco springs, have your main leaf re-arched and use the taco leafs with some original tundra leafs. Probably cost ya 150-200 bones and likely drive better than new

It's so awful. It has to be one of the most stressful things we do. Add in a pandemic and it's even worse. I didn't feel right asking my buddies to come help. My poor wife about died carrying our dresser. She's a badass though. I'm glad it's over.

Trick is to invite your buddies who've had the Covid & are past it.
Seems like everyone is forgetting about the folks who've moved on from being sick or contagious. They're ready to go.

You’ve got the adapter in the photo or the adapter from Motive? The motive adapter is terrible! Hence the reason going with the better one (expensive, yes! But it’ll pay it back after one bleed session)

No I have the motive one. It's a shame they didnt make it flat or make it a press on cap style. I also have the European car adapter that threads on my VW and that works like a dream.

I'm finished! Waiting for the FIPG to cure, then I'll fill and start tomorrow. I was so pissed to find that it had been done. I'm only at 155,000 miles, but with no blatant evidence that it had been done before I did it... rather redid it.

Headliner is back. Beat part? He did it for free. Even paid for the materials as a thank you for all the work I’ve done for him in the past. I may get it up tonight and I’ll get pics. We’ll see how I’m feeling after work
