Truck cranks over, 4 lo flashes and no communication to the OBII. Let it sit awhile it’ll start right up. Any advice would be awesome!!

    Thanks!

Ranch Hand Summit front and rear bumpers. Diamondback SE tonneau cover. Rigid DOT fogs. LED headlight/fog replacement bulbs. Matt Gecko hood, and bed LED's. Foot well led's, and interior LED buld replacement. (warm) Broke the front shock of the 3" spacer lift, so replaced with 6112/5160 and 1' block rear. KO 2's. Speaker replacement, added amp and (2) 10's under seat. Weathertech floor mats. Salex organizers. Ziebart undercoating. RCI front, transmission/diff, and gas tank skids received, waiting for spring install. Compustar remote starter. front/rear dash cam.
Flex fuel? Could be the fuel pump. Mine is slow to start, but starts because of that issue.

Not guaranteed to work, but try to turn off the alarm, from what I was instructed place the key in the ignition and turn it over to ON, but don't turn it over. Do this quickly 3 times. If done correctly the red light on the left hand side of the dash will be flashing quickly as if the alarm was set off, but its just placing in the off-standby position.

Now try and turn it over and see if it starts this way.

To reactivated do the same 2 times and it will stop flashing and will reactivate your alarm.

I think flex fuels were offered later on, after the face lift, if I'm not mistaken. Roughly 2010-13,

It is not a flex fuel!

I will try turning the key and see what happens! Just weird, started today just fine, drove it 4 blocks and now wont start again.

90k. I would think fuel pump too but it won’t connect to OBDII and 4lo flashes. I’d also think it would have failed by now, this has been happening for about a year. I don’t drive the truck much at all. Maybe 3-4K a year.

    Actually sounds electrical

Try this out... first video is the first thing I was able to pull up, I don't personally follow this cat, but its a good start and idea for what you may need to troubleshoot. Second link is to another Tundra site, but its for an 01 which break it more down, third link shows ways to read codes without a scanner... did you buy the truck used??

Yes I bought the truck used and has quite a few add ones, which are all electrical. Remote start, stereo, heated seats, flip down running boards, and TV in the head rests. The only thing I wonder is I’ve read trucks having the same issue that are all stock and mine has had all this stuff done for the last 60k miles.

I’ll watch those videos. Thanks a lot!!
