    Hey there,

I've looked through a lot of post and can't find much on what I will need to install my subs / amp with a factory HU. I've heard / read I will need a processor, or wireing harness, and sometimes just one or the other. Before I dive into the project I just want to make sure I have what I need.

    Currently already have
Truck: 2015 tundra CM w/ JBL head unit
Subs: (2) JL 10TW3-D4 (in custom box)
    Head unit: Factory
    Mono Amp: Pioneer GM-DX871

The subs/box, and amp have yet to be installed, and everything is currently factory. I would like to keep the factory HU. My question is what else will I need to complete the install. Do I need a sound processor? Wiring harness? Keep or remove the factory crappy small amp under the passenger seat? If so what have others used or recommend. I tried to reach out to tech12volts but his contact option is currently unavailable. What about Taco Tunes gear?

Go to their website, they do have an option.

Do some research. that vendor has SERIOUSLY ticked off a lot of buyers on this site and the Tacoma site.

I have never seen anyone write anything bad about James.

Can confirm. I just bought a crapload of stuff from him; literally the only thing I can observe (and this isn't even a negative) is that sometimes the email responses are a bit short on words...but as busy as they are, no wonder. Even in the midst of all this COVID-19 crap, I ordered a 10" sub box last Tuesday, and a JBL Stadium 5 amp with installation kit/rack/etc., and it'll be here Monday. :)
