2015 Toyota Tundra Limited

So I just bought a new Samsung Galaxy S20 and am having some issues. It is paired and working fine for calls and calling features but am having problems with google maps notifications. I used to have an iPhone 6 paired and when I had google maps running on my phone it would announce the directions via Bluetooth over the stereo speakers even if I was listening to the FM radio. Now with my new phone I have lost that capability which is a bummer. I have confirmed that the app is connected via Bluetooth. Does anyone have any recommendation or run into a similar problem?
