Looking to make my truck not look so 2001'ish... i have seen other posts on here but its flooded with turd gen owners not realizing they are on 1st gen forums. I'm looking for a touch screen head unit, with bluetooth for playing music. If it has ANDROID auto then thats a plus!. My vehicle is the 2001 tundra limited with the "wood" trim. I want to keep things looking classy and nice fitting. Any suggestions prefer the cost to be under 250. Thank you guys.

Anything Kenwood or Pioneer in should suffice. Stay away from Boss, Dual and those type of Walmart brands. Check out Crutchfield.com. They do a pretty good job getting you everything you need to install it.

@CaptainGrumpus actually yes one quick question. It appears to me that the android auto only works with a wired connection. Thats not big deal, the only thing i am worried about is if i can play music wirelessly from my phone, onto the head unit.. i use spotify and just want it to wirelessly connect and play music. A few years ago my friend had a cheap head unit that you could do that with. Thats the only deal breaker for me and i cant find any solid info on that. Thanks

JVC is now made by Kenwood. I picked up a JVCM750 on sale for $269 installed at bestbuy. I didn’t buy their ‘free installation’ but I compared the radio to Crutchfield who had it at $339 IIRC. Bestbuy also offers a lifetime warranty on it as well. I’d suggest calling in because they offer in store sales a lot that aren’t advertised online.

I’m honestly not sure about that. If you call Crutchfield, there sales reps are very knowledgeable.
Just my opinion on your question is I don’t see why you couldn’t. The head unit has Bluetooth so it should be able to stream music from your phone without issue. That pretty much the standard nowadays.
