Ok 1st off I did take advantage of this stimulus check to pay off my truck finally. But what a wonderful feeling knowing next month I'm 400 dollars better off then I was last month !

My 08 with 86k miles and the best part I own it now :fistbump:

I think nitro just had a 10% off sell that just ended a few days ago. I wasn't ready and still need a few days before im ready to drop cash.

Congrats! Now drive it until the wheels fall off (still a long way to go) and keep banking that additional $400/mo.

My advice is to take $100 a month and enjoy it. You’ve deserve some extra play money for diligently paying down debt. Take the other $300/mo and:
    1. Make sure you have a comfortable cash reserve
    2. Pay down other consumer debts
    3. Invest in a retirement account

I’m my experiences, if new found money doesn’t have a purpose, it finds a way to get spent.

Doing exactly this but not giving myself 100 a month it's all going to savings. Along with the other 300 a week I save hopefully pay off my camper In 2 yrs. Another goal of mine to own the camper like 8 yrs early !

I dont know that feeling lol but I agree 100% my truck is older but I know for sure I'm keeping it for a long time. Had thought about trading her in a few times but now I'm convinced tundras last a long time so no reason for newer.

payments sucks. I had a party when I paid off my first toyota. Then I bought my next two outright, it’s a great feeling.

An '08 with 86K? That's a little less/yr than our '14 4R sitting at 47K - we got a lot of years/miles left in our trucks! Enjoy having that financial weight reduced in the coming months/years.

Can't believe you took the stimulus check intending for stimulating the economy and did not buy anything! Lots of Covid deals going on now.

Kidding, nice job. Whatever check I get will be going straight to savings
