Sprint Booster install

Just wanted to give my .02 cents on the Sprint Booster. Decided to get one over the Pedal Commander mainly due to the size. Damn this thing is fun. In Sport 6 I can spin the tires. Pretty nuts. Accelerates very quickly which is a bit breathtaking at first because I’m not used to it. It holds second gear a little bit longer than I think it should but I’m not gonna be dropping the pedal at every red light so it’s not that big of a deal. It’s a nice little mod but I’m not sure of the cost. $300 is a bit hefty for it and for a couple hundred more I could have just bought a Bully Dog. For now though, I’ll roll with it and enjoy the better throttle response and hope the sheriff isn’t around when I decided to really get on it.

 

Lol the bullydog is only 80 bucks more and it does alot more...

 

I know I know lol. I’ll eventually get the Bullydog but for now this will work. I had some stuff on eBay so it was only $150 or so out of pocket. I figured this was a safe way to go because I’m still under factory warranty.

Also, doesn’t Bullydog only go up to 2017 Tundras? I didn’t see one that would work with an ‘18. I knew there was another reason why I thought the Sprint Booster was a good way to go.

 

Oh ok you might be right about the year. But bully dog and dap is awesome. 3rd gen tundra throttle response are really slow and seems like the engine dosent have any power coming from 2nd gen. If you think the sprint booster is fun when you get a tune they turn off torque management which equals

The sprint booster is fun to play with. At $150 it’s worth it for sure.

Will it work on 2018+ tundras? All that I have read is that it only works up to 2017 models because of the advance safety system that Toyota implemented on the 2018+ models.
