Dealers are literally dying right now to create revenue. This truck is costing them money sitting there. With the COVID impact, my guess is if you’re patient you can get that for less. I’d ask them to make it a CPO vehicle (edited - can’t ask that unless they have a Toyota dealer too). There are certain assurances that come with the CPO program (just because it’s at an Audi dealer doesn’t mean they can’t certify it). Also be willing to walk away a couple times, tell them to call you if they change their mind if you have to walk. If I had to guess based on trade in values in my area, they probably have $37500-$38500 in to that truck. If it’s a straight up clean deal (no trade on your end) and they will match any interest rate you could get through your local credit union or bank, I’d offer them $39,000 as a CPO and tell them you will finance through their finance department. Ask for the paperwork to include any and ALL doc fees, additional costs, etc they will include so you know upfront. They make money on every loan they write too. Just don’t get drawn in to any of the extended warranties... if the truck is right, the extended warranty is unnecessary. Good luck!

Do it. Save 5 -7 grand over new and buy a warranty for 1200 bucks on the hook up here and you’re good to go for 8-10 years.

Only manufacturer dealers can make a vehicle CPO. There's no way an Audi dealership can extend a factory Toyota warranty.

These are different times than 3 months ago. Some dealers will sell at a loss just to keep any sort of money coming in. I would offer 38k and try to stick to that as close as possible. If you have a stable job now is a good time to buy a car. I wouldn’t by a house though. Those are gonna drop.

I was negotiating a 2020 MGM Platinum last week and had them down to 47 before I even walked in the door. I'd try to deal for a new one. You aren't too far off and get a few extra options you may find appealing.

Looks like the dealership has had the truck since about 3/2/2020, been sitting on it for over a month. You may get it for 40 including taxes, etc. I would throw the offer to them and see what happens.

If you can hold out, do it. Very few people are going to be making large purchases over the next few months or even more. Not apples to apples, but I live in the same area and have been looking at late model used Sequoias or a little bit older Lexus LX 570s for my wife. Many I have been watching have dropped $500-$1000 just in last week.

Dealerships are laying people off by the dozens, so are other businesses. It's a buyer's market, go low. Now's not the time to pay a fair price, someone is willing to make a deal

That is a gorgeous truck , why would anybody trade that in after only 10k ? Anyway up here we can easily get 5-6k off asking price on used vehicles which would be about 3-4K in the States . I wouldn’t offer too low if you’re really interested in it because if you put their back up they might not move from the original price at all . I guess it really depends on how desperate the dealer is .

As a Ram driver you should know why they traded it, and to a Ram dealership. It wasn't as "nice" as a Ram, and that mattered to them.

I thought it was an Audi dealer ? I realize that Audi is more luxury but they don’t have a pick up .

My bad. I thought the link a few posts down from the top was the truck. It is apparently just a similar one, and it is at the Dodge dealer.

Low ball and negotiate up from there. It is easier than starting at their price and negotiate down. Remember, for them it is not personal, it is business. Also, don't be afraid to walk and go back in a week. All the hits on the truck from our members looking may give them a feeling the truck is in demand.

I've gone in with dealers in the past and I sometimes tell them I'm not there to make friends. I also let them know a lost sale is lost revenue to them. A car sitting on a lot costs them money. Also look for the youngest salesman and it helps to be a little intimidating too.

I do chat with them. My feeling is that is they like you they give you a better deal. I have turned off sales people with a hard ass attitude. Never worked in my favor.
