I have no idea why YouTube recommended this to me, but...wow.

    https://youtu.be/ZsRrcPLwBb8

Toyotas can have a bit of a wobble at 55-60mph if not aligned properly or due to unbalanced tires. But this is nuts.

Damn. I’d run it straight to the dealer and tell them keep it unti it’s fixed or get me a new truck. Just wow...

Ford specs too little caster in its solid front axle trucks. Its been a issue since 2005 or so. Way worse than Tundra leaky cam towers IMO. My son has a 19 F250 and some of the leveling kits now come with extra caster built into the trailing arm brackets. His is now rock solid after the lift. Ridiculous that $70k trucks cant even be driven safely.

I can live with the death wobble but Tundra needs more door pockets like the older models :D

He’s says you can’t hit the brakes..... what if it happens on the downhill side of the mtn? I guess that’s where it gets it’s name.

hope there’s a runaway semi truck ramp to pull onto? And then hope a semi truck behind you doesn’t need to use it too?

Death wobble and SFA, seems like a known issue, especially on the Wrangler and F250/350s.

Could always drop it down a gear or two. Hitting the brakes might result in brake steer, which could put you into the barrier. Only way to fix it while driving though is to come to a near stop.

Had that on my 2012 ram 2500 mega cab before jumping to the tundra. I ended up taking it to the dealer multiple times before going aftermarket with carli suspension products to fix it. After about 17 service visits and only 54k on the odometer I threw in the towel.

Yup. Inherent and possible on any solid front axle. Scary though.

Back in 2011 had an 06 F250 that had it. First time it happened was on a back road 35mph zone in a 90 degree left hand turn. Almost went into the ditch(no mailboxes harmed ). Took it to Ford they said front brakes. Didn’t fix it. Tire pressure didn’t fix it. Swapped 6” lift for entire new 8” lift..didn’t fix it. Bought all new tires didn’t fix it. 4 or 5 alignments didn’t fix it. Dual steering stabilizer didn’t fix it.
Almost went down the road of new drop pitman, steering links and adjustable crossover... but found the fix before that.
