    Hey All,
Getting new shoes and my shop gave me an option which would be the same price:
    1. Swap the stock tpms to the new wheels
    2. Buy and program new tpms

Is there any benefit to keeping the stock tpms (quality, reliability, etc?)? For the same price to swap, is it worth getting the extra set?

I would keep stock as long as they are not super old and fit the rims

Your shop is ripping you off if moving a sensor over costs as much as buying a new one.

Thank you, but trying to understand why too? Better quality?

I did read about the situation about having to switch out tires for a short time. If I swap, then switch to the stock wheels with no tpms, then switch back to the new wheels, is reprogramming needed?

Sorry, forgot to mention it’s only $100 for a 4 tires. Looking online that seems cheap.

Leaning towards using the stock ones, don’t want to deal with reprogramming every time and I’ll eventually sell the stock wheels anyway.
