    I agree but not in this instance. It’s not like they are buying aftermarket parts from a prideful vendor that have been engineered well, they Chinese parts and the only reason they use them is low cost. That’s all they care about. Read the letter. We’re talking about my bumper, a safety device. There’s no crash test data, crumple zone testing or premium corrosion coating which can lead to premature failure. It’s not like we’re talking a steel bumper. They want to put cheap parts between me and another accident so I’m not down for that. I would probably have let it go if they put OEM parts. They are only saving like 200 bucks. Now they have a 6000 claim against them. After all the footwork, I’m sure it would have been cheaper in the end to just give me OEM bumper caps, but now I’m going to drag them through the loops.

    Well I agree maybe not in this case, but something to keep in mind. I would never buy OEM leaf springs for good cause just for and example of better than OEM. I am one that if bumpers don't pass certain requirements but look just as good as OEM and $400 for both new, hell yea. That's just me, not advice. OEM will peal chrome eventually anyways. I guess the basic art of bonding nickle to metal and bonding copper to nickle and bonding chrome to copper has been lost.
