My battery bit the dust, so I ordered a Northstar 31A.
It's a big battery! The j hooks were not long enough, so rather than risk the corona , I had some spare stainless steel laying around. Bent it, drilled holes and made myself a new bracket that works with the factory hooks.

Installed the Gen 2 Bypass kit with air pressure sensor on bank 1. So far so good.

Installation was pretty straight fwd, and plug n play for the most part. The blocking plates on the other hand were a bit of a challenge. The driver side was the easier side. On the passenger side i removed the intake, and a few brackets.
Hewitt Tech's customer service was AWESOME! This installation was on a 4.7, which is different from the 4.6 and 5.7 . Location of the air injection valves and blocking plates are different

Flushed all the old transmission fluid out and replaced with 3 gallons of the new stuff. Truck has 140,000 miles on it and I don’t think it had ever been changed.

I got the new Katzkins installed! Still need to plug in the seat heaters, but those will just have to wait another day.

How much time between that lift and when you added wheels and tires? Big difference!

I DID IT ALL TOGETHER PRETTY MUCH, SO WITHIN 3 DAYS I THINK! I WORK AT THE CAR LOT I BOUGHT THE TRUCK FROM, SO I GOT TO DRIVE IT EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. IT WAS A VERY NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE WHEN LIFT WENT ON. THOUGH... NOW IM ABOUT TO INSTALL THE ROUGH COUNTRY 3" FRT LEVEL KIT NOW, AS I DONT THINK THE MOTOFAB LIFTED THE FRONT QUITE AS HIGH AS I HOPED IT WOULD. SO FINGERS CROSSED THAT IT GOES UP ANOTHER HALF INCH OR SO... I WILL REPORT IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED.

7" BDS Coilover Suspension Lift/BDS UCAs/XB LED Headlights/Nitto trail Grappler tires on Black Rhyno Armory wheels
I just picked up my 2007 from the shop. I had them install a BDS 7" Fox Coilover Suspension lift. Also got BDS UCA s. The wheels are Black Rhino Armory s and tires are 35" Nitto Trail Graplers. It's a whole new animal now, and will take some getting used to, but I'm happy to give it a go.

I was throwing code P-2440, switching valve stuck open Bank 1. It was throwing me in limp mode, and with the pressure sensor bad, the code would come back up after I erased it. The Air Injection Pumps were and are still a problem on the 2nd Gens. This bypass kit replaces the the air Injection control drivers.

Did you ever notice a noise before it went south? I've noticed a noise in mine, that sounds similar to the pump running when i first start it. When pump shuts off, it gets quiet, then that similar noise starts up when engine warmed up.

Most likely will clear, i run a 305/55R20 which is a 33.5x12.01, on a 9mm negative offset wheel. My tires just barely touch the front trim on one side, and the back mudflap on the other side. To be safe... maybe look at the rough country 3" frt lvl or 3"2" lift lvl kit

Na, can't help ya there. I could tell when my truck was getting ready to go into limp mode, i could hear the sound change in my exhaust. It actually sounded more deeper and throatier hahaha, but that's the only positive out of it.

    Are you throwing codes?

LOL... No codes, just strange noise so far. We will see what happens, with 167k on the clock, im sure the bypass will be needed soon. Maybe i will just be proactive and slap it on before it goes south on me

That noise when you first start it is the pump running. If it doesn’t do that then you have an issue. They covered mine under warranty and it has made that noise every time I start it after it has sat overnight I believe that whole unit is basically for cold start up it recirculates exhaust gasses, emissions bullchit
