What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Yezzsir, they are "Greystone" but they are just about the same color as MGM...got them cause on the webpage they looked more silver. The color is growing on me. Hoping to get them on next week.


Eventually gonna try and jam 295/70's on there with the 5100's on the Middle setting.....gonna have to do the BMC for sure since the wheels are +12 offset. But the Duratracs just came out in that size and I'm big fan of those tires....

Metal tube from stock housing is used in the jowett housing

 

its a direct fit. I got this as a option on the switch control from my nsv led light bar. Since i didn’t include it on the panel i decided to replaced that cigarette port at the rear.

 

Where'd ya find that, I need that for my kids!!

I checked Amazon. The one you pictured looks much more like a factory option compared to the dual USB's found elsewhere. I'd much rather go with one like you have if they are sold separately.

Next up is (hopefully) some 18" black wheels, preferably TRD Pro BBS forged if I can find them!

 

I don’t have a good before pic. But you can tell from the after pic that it looks more purposeful now... at least to the modestly trained eye. I pulled both the forward and aft flaps from the front wells and the big rear flaps. I figure I’ll leave it that way unless rock chips become an issue.

how did you wire that new USB under the media control panel? I tried hooking to the wiring behind the blank insert, with no luck.

 

It's just a simple positive/negative wire, tapped into the lighter wires

Pro Tip: I put all of the screws back into the fender wells that I could. That way I can’t lose them. Also, on the forward front flaps. There is a bracket behind the plastic that it’s fastened to. You’ll have to dig that out From behind the liner once you get the flap off. You’ll hear it fall.

 

Not sure if I'd be able to sell it off separately, but PM me and I'll see if I can make something work!

 

oh boy did I need that pro tip about an hour ago. I did the fwd and aft flaps in the front wheel well, and I did the same about replacing the screws, but I did not realize there was a metal bracket only held on with those two screws. I was able to get the passenger side done without the bracket falling by replacing the screws as I removed them. not sure why that bracket is preferred to a couple of nutplates...
