Those things are great! 2 7/8" is a perfect fit. Wired off of the power outlet going into the center console so they are on only when the vehicle is. Very easy to install. They are the perfect amount of light as well.

Send me anything you think might be helpful please. I also did the black TRD knob. It looks soo much better than that lame stock job.

I had a body shop paint it (trim black) which is satin. I didn’t want to have any issues so I went that route, turned out pro.

Would there be a way to tie those cupholder LEDs into the actual headlight circuit? So they are only on when it's dark? On all the time would be easier, but seems pretty cool to have them come on with rest of truck dash lights and button back lights

I'm sure their is but I would suggest having them on all time. They really are nice looking & not overbearing in any way. Otherwise I would have yanked them out.

I did the white so it would match the dash cluster. I have no regrets. I am currently installing white LED's in the door handles as well. Just walked out and took this pic. Drivers door handle. IMG_2096.jpg

Looks sharp, nice work on the interior mods.

How do the LED cupholder lights stay in place?

Also, post your door handle LEDs when complete.

Hopefully this will clean up that image.
The have an adhesive tape on the bottom. Had them in for about a year. If you look at that pic you can see the DS door handle is lit. I just have to ground the passenger door better (it is slightly dim) & then do the back doors. I certainty don't want to overdo it with lighting. Trying to keep it subtle, clean & modern (more so than stock).

Here are the headunit metal knobs, they are on eBay and come in several colors. Put that discripton into eBay search.

The Entune knobs are larger in diameter. The metal knobs come in several sizes

    Hey Dan,

I installed the LED cupholder light today, easy install and quality product. I went with the blue LED's, nice accent and as you mentioned they are not intrusive at all, just a subtle glow. I wired to the 12volt outlet in the center box, used t-taps with male connectors so that if the console has to come out for another project, its easy plug n play.

Both pics we're taken in full sun mid day, I will get some good night shots tomorrow...

That looks great! Plus I know you can match the color on your HU. I promise it will be something you will always appreciate. I’ve thought about adding a thin layer of rubber just to make them a little tacky but it really hasn’t been a problem.

Good call, I have the HU dialed in to match that blue perfectly. The LED’s are such a nice touch, I’m thinking the front cupholder would finish it off nicely. It’s a touch larger than the 2 cupholders next to the shifter. Any idea what size LED insert would fit that?

I debated it. I actually have a third unit for it but it was a touch too small. I didn't pick up a new one because I was concerned that it could be the appearance of "too much". I understand that is a very subjective term in relation to lighting & mods but I feel I am always trying to avoid it. Honestly, with as much as I have done to personalize my truck I feel the Morimoto HL are probably the most extreme looking modification overall. I love them but I just don't want to over do it. If you do replace it, let me know. I would definitely love to get your opinion.
