Is my little man a Ford Guy

Bought my 22 month old a Tundra for Christmas and he is scared of it? Maybe it was a father thinking ahead of his time or is he a Ford guy? Any insights on how to get little man to ride in is Tundra? Maybe he just needs a little more time? I can remote control it!

 

Give it a couple of more months, if there’s no progress you’re just gonna have to give in and trade in the little guy for a new baby.

 

I’m looking to buy the white one but hard to find in stock for 18 month old step Grandaughter I know she will love it cause she tries to drive my truck hits all the buttons turn signals turns the steering she’s a daredevil climbs everything and loves slapping my bald spot I never had kids and always said I’m not a fan I was their since she was born she was born with club feet had to wear braces since born she’s a fighter always tried to walk with her braces now their off during the day and she walks everywhere so freeking awesome love her so much had no idea what love was for 43 years till I seen her

 

very young kids are used to stationary objects and as a result, he may like Ford better ... Typically most Fords spend much more time stationary i.e. not running and in need of repair ... "Fix Or Repair Daily"

 

Sometimes you gain more passion/patience with age! Bless her heart! Amazon has them in stock. Get the 2 year extended warranty and you might have to put a better battery in later on. My son even though he wasn’t planned is the love of my life. At least I know he won’t want to leave me. N stock!

It's not the truck, it's the chrome.

 

Too much power for such a little fella. He'll get used to it and then he'll be burning the tires off of it.

 

Put a girl his age in the passenger seat. He'll start cruising in it . . .

 

Invite one of his little friends over and let him see them having fun in the truck. He'll get the idea then and you won't be able to keep him out of it.

 

We bought our kid a little riding John Deere tractor for Christmas maybe a couple years ago, might have been 3. Scared to death of it. Gathered dust in the garage for probably 8-10 months before he got on it for the first time. You'd try to get him to hop on but he was spooked by it suddenly moving when he hit the pedal. Controlling that is a new, scary experience for them. Then one day he hopped on puttered up and down the driveway and realized it's not that bad.

Another couple months and he was coming home and begging to get it out and to go around the block. By a little after 4 he'd demand to ride it, and if the battery was dead make me pull it and charge it so it was ready the next day. I did nothing special. It just took patience and reminding him it was there every now and then if he even just wanted to sit on it without moving. Bugging and pestering him about riding it didn't work at all. Trying to make a 2-4 year old do anything they don't want to do or they're scared to do will make you pull your hair out. Losing battle more often than not. Best to pick battles carefully. He'll eventually discover it's fun on his own as he gets used to it.

But yes, aside from thinking it's cool for him to have a little Tundra and wanting to see him like it, it's also a little annoying to spend a few hundred dollars on something only for them to initially not want to go anywhere near it.
