I'm looking to replace my FOX 2.0 rear shocks with some Bilstein shocks with Reservoirs.

I have a 8" ReadyLift, so just needs to be compatible with that.

When I ordered the lift, it came with 5100 Bilsteins, I then changed over to the FOX 2.0. I believe both the 2.0s and the 5100s only have an extra 2" of lift.

Any ideas on what would work? Would love the recommendations.

The reason I'm switching is because I purchased the new ReadyLift Bilstein coilovers, and i want it all to match.

These are the ones I'm looking at:

I do not have the ReadyLift kit, but I heavily trolled the Bilstein catalog. I believe the Bilstein 5125 rear shocks are rated for 3-5 inches of lift. 5100, 5160 and 5165 are all 0-2 inches.

I was running the 5160s which are a big improvement over the 5100s. When I changed out my rear leaf springs, my down travel was a few inches more than the 5160s would allow.

I ended up with ADS 2.5 triple bypasses from MCM Fab because they offer extended length shafts. And tune them specifically to your truck.

I know that King also does custom order shock lengths. Have to send them all your specs and measurements. Probably pricey though.

Sadly I think Bilstein is lacking in the Tundra segment. Seems a lot more available for the Tacoma.

I am sure the other ReadyLift kit guys will have more info. Fox may have some “off the shelf” extended length rears.

Icon rear shocks with reservoir also offer more travel than the Bilsteins. Give Icon a call and let them know what your issue is.

Bilstein has specific front and rear shocks available for Readylift kits now.

I have Bilstein fronts and Icon rears. In the end nobody cares but you and your comfort individually.

But if I ever meet you I’m going to laugh out loud at you like Charlie Murphy laughing at Prince.

So you stretched the Ready Lift 8” lift 2 more inches with the Fox coilovers? I’ve been wondering if this lift could be stretched safely. This is good news if so!!!

not the fox coilovers.. the ReadyLift/Bilstein coils. They come “preset” for an 8” lift, but after measuring, I gain 2 inches after install.. the coils and springs have to be broken in a little, so it may have fallen a little bit, but I could definitely get even another inch or 2 by messing with the spanner wrench and expanding the spring. prolly not recommended though lol prolly would ride funny too

overall, I’m prolly 10-11” in the front.
