Slapped this sucker on my grille craft grille. Took a little fabricating but got it done. Anyway, anyone put 285 75 17 on a stock suspension 01 tundra? Do they fit? How much do you have to trim. Thanks in advanced

I don't see how you'll fit that size tire(basically 34's) without major cutting. I would not attempt that size on stock suspension.

I'm on a 3" lift with 34s (295/60R20 33.9"). You're not going to make that work without cutting rear fender and front bumper. I'm barely clearing those areas on turns. My 275/65R20s cleared better, but weren't wide enough for my rim.

What size rim you on? 285/75/r16 is doable. On 17” rims woooweeee!?!

You grilled any hot dogs on your grille yet?:D Looks good.

I’m on 16s now was thinking about getting some black rhinos 17” but I do like the chromed our stock rims. Might just keep em and go 285 75 16 then,

People have had bolts welded into their drain plug Allen holes. Now instead of using an Allen Key you’ll use a socket. I have a 2002 and not sure if your 2006 would apply.

Per your torques: Snug it up by hand feel is what I do. Just make sure you check back on it for leaking after some drive time. No leaks and still snug and you are good.

OME setup with SPC uca's. Love how it turned out and feels so much better. Also, actually like the yellow shocks as they go with the fog lights.

Since you like the Chromed Stock Rims, then you could always freshen them up with the Rustoleum Wheel Paint. Its the Silver 103? and Matte Clear Coat that I used on mine which is a perfect match.

Finally finished installing the new head unit and backup camera. I was able to make the original brackets work. Sound quality is a lot better than before. :headbang:

Also, if one of our regular contributing members wants to pay shipping, you can have my old JVC stereo. Installed in 2018. It comes with the storage pocket below, wiring harness, and Bluetooth mic. Literally plug n play. It does NOT play CD's.

I used to do service work at McDogals full time, my hands always had a sheen on them, smelled like fries, and all my tools were slicker than snot. My dry hands are the only thing that misses that job

What coilovers are you cranking on? I never trusted the kind like that, get a pair of solid one-piece style instead.

You've gotta do more than spray threads with wd40. Get a toothbrush out and clean those threads before you turn a ring, especially since you just went off road. Use a real oil instead of wd, use triflow or some other spray lube. Wd 40 doesn't lubricate well enough and dries too quickly.

I had the same problem in high school when I worked at a pizza place, my hands were glazed in Canadian bacon oil.

On another note, just finished the hellwig front sway bar install.... anyone else have one? Would like to see your sway bar end links to make sure I'm sitting right.
