After searching for a few months, I finally found myself a decent Tundra. It's 2007 SR-5 Double cab 4wd with the 4.7 with 136K. I've never owned a Tundra before and I haven't owned any Toyotas since around 2004 and my last Toyota pickup was an 89 4X4 extra cab.
One thing I have to get done right away is the timing belt. The previous owner never got it done and there's no record on the Toyota site about it if the original owner ever did it.
It's otherwise been a well maintained truck. Lots of records for service. Is there anything else I should prioritize? I'm still learning about it and there's lots of to learn.

If u replacing timing belt, then also replace water pump, idler pulley, and serpentine drive belt.

Also, use factory parts. Don’t get cheap aftermarket stuff or you will regret it.

    Welcome & congratulations!

Check for frame rust, make sure all the fluids & filters are fresh and drive on.

I've done a timing belt recently on a '06 Acura MDX. I only buy OEM for any work I do. I don't have a shop manual yet. Is there anything online for reference?
My frame had a dealer inspection a year ago and was noted as OK.

One thing kind of surprised me is that it has 5 lug wheels. I'm used to seeing 6 lug wheels on Toyota trucks.

Thanks, it's pretty decent for a 13 year old truck.

Hello and welcome from S.W. Oregon, our first Tundra is a 2007 DC with the 5.7 engine, amazing machines, I think it replaced my desire for a Mustang GT, in beast mode the Tundra is a beast. One time just to see how well it would a burn out, when the tranny shifted to second gear it continued to burn rubber, that's a healthy engine, especially considering there is 245,000+ miles on the odometer. I probably won't do burn outs again, tires are just too expensive and I want my Tundra to last the rest of my life and from what I've heard, it probably will.

Thanks. I'm hoping to make this truck last as long as I can. The 4.7 has plenty of power but of course not as much as a 5.7. It seems to be adequate for what I need.
