What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I’ve used weather techs my whole adult life. I put husky’s in my truck last year and will never buy the WT again. Mine looks as good as yours after a year!

 

Installed Pro Grille. Install was very straightforward. Getting the TSS sensor harness clips off was a little frustrating. Whatever you do, do not try to take off the metal tooth nuts on your original sensor cover (I did this to get to the sensor wiring harness clip underneath the sensor mount) - they will break. Also broke one clip on the TRD surround, beware of alignment before trying to push clips in.

 

Had Clear Choice Window Tinting, in Boulder CO, install 20% tint to the two front windows. Makes a huge difference.

 

Installed Ecological's Color-matched Rear Bumper Caps. Only issue is the mold is slightly off - underneath bolt hole cutouts aren't accurately placed. This causes the cover to be slightly lifted, although it is not visible from the rear of the truck. I may have to take some tin snips to enlarge the bolt holes.

 

Installed a tailgate lock and also took advantage of the relatively mild temps and gave her a bath.

 

I have only just installed. Have not driven the truck. In general I have no noise coming from he back. I suspect that has to do with the bed rug dampening the majority of the noise.

looks good. I actually just got my sensor cover in the mail this weekend. I just need to order the grill now. Maybe you could do a more thorough write up. What metal clips are you referring to, what’s the trick for swapping over the TSS sensor?

 

Finally got around to installing this tonight.
Start to finish took under 20 mins.
Highly recommended.

Also installed my new LED headlights.
Wow. Huge difference.


Lastly, I installed new TRD shift knob.

I think the routing of the wire through the tailgate. Other than that more zip ties and plug n play.

That looks good. What did you use and where did you tap in to for power?

 

Yeah I use from traveling spot to spot on the beach. Have a roof rack with rod holders on roof also when on road. Or if I am feeling really lazy or bad weather can sit in truck with bait out

 

I agree had it on my F150, and it got hot and unglued and began to sag. Take a look at LoMax. It is solid aluminum. I have been happy with it.

what steps are those? they look like the westin hdx that i've had my eyes on, but these look to have a little wider step and somehow look a little more subtle and less chunky - in a good way.
