After adding ready lift 8inch kit,22x12 wheels,37s tire,5.29 gears. I noticed a grind sound while making 20-30mph right turns(freeway on ramps) mechanic tells me it’s gotta be the stabality/traction control and that we would need a programmer to change the tire/gear size to fix that issue. He already did the zero calibration but that didn’t work. Any help is greatly appreciated, also any programmer recommendations would be awesome.

    thanks for reading.

Does the traction control light come on when it’s making the noise? If not, then I don’t think that is it. Can you tell where the noise is coming from? CV joint maybe?

Yeah, traction comes on. Definitely from the front differential almost like abs cause it felt like the truck slowed down the first time it happen I was going pretty fast not expecting it and I never hit the brakes But it did feel like it was held back,if that makes any sense.

Have you tried turning the system off and see if you still have a problem? As far as programming, hypertech seems to be the most popular option.

Not yet,got the truck back today from getting other stuff done. I’ll try that tomorrow,as far as the hyper tech stuff I see them for speed calibration but never specifically saying for tire/gear size. Do you have any links or which model I can use? Not that I’m being lazy I just haven’t found one and don’t want to deal with shipping and returning. Hoping to get this right the first time lol it’s a 2016 5.7 sr5

Do you have a carrier bearing drop with your lift?
