Is my brake cable in the proper position. I was under my Tundra and noticed my right rear parking brake pedal had a little more slack than the left side cable. I noticed there is a round part that could be a guide for the brake cable. But the cable was not positioned in the part(guide). I took pictures with the cable in the guide and outside the guide. If it is a guide. Anyone know where the cable actually belongs? IMG_20200205_133152494.jpg IMG_20200205_133214818.jpg IMG_20200205_133214818.jpg

It is not a guide. It is your load proportioning valve linkage. The first picture is correct.

I have a 2001 Tundra and my parking brake cable goes under and does not touch the load proportioning valve linkage (like the first picture).

Thanks, Hows the best way to tighten that cable. It seems to have too much slack.

Just inside of the driver's side frame below the driver's seat, there is a turnbuckle to adjust any cable slack.
