I took this out of the upper part of the air box. Some sort of filter. Can barely see any light through it. Truck runs a bit better. What is it and do I need to replace it or can I roll without it ?IMG_20200203_153731.jpg

Charcoal filter (delete mod). Some swear it does something.

You'll be fine running without it.

It’s just there for emissions shit. Basically to absorb the fuel vapors that may come back out of your throttlebody and intake. Not for filtering the inlet. I removed mine a long time ago.

It's in the lid of the air filter box when you open it up.
