I picked up a 2020 double cab TRD sport on Tuesday. I have only put a couple of miles on it. I ordered a topper and am waiting on that. In the meantime I found this forum and have spend many hours here.
So it came with 20” wheels. At the time I thought that was fine....I am sure it is for many ..but now I want 18” wheels or even 17”. I was looking at a ton of pictures and I really want to get the TRD wheels, but the price is a little shocking. So how much are my stock tires and wheels worth? The salesman said he would be interested in buying them for his sequoia.

What would be some other good solutions? Do people trade much on here? Are the 20” in demand? Why are the TRDs so expensive? Once I get a good handle on what to do about the wheels I will buy some BFGs.

I dabbled with the idea of dropping down to 18s but instead bought fallen wild peaks for my 20s when the stock Duellers wore out. I like the wild peaks but regret not going down. Just my $.02

I second that ^^ but again it’s al what you like and what you invision your tundra to look like, I got the same 20’s on my truck and I am in the market for some stock 18’s

Looks and ride are what it's all about. My 19 Sport came with 20's and it drives like butter. Does it look great?, certainly not, but after the Duellers wear out I"ll mount some Cooper XLT's on them and see how it does. It all has to do with how you use your truck on a daily basis.

I’ve got 265/75R20 in the Cooper AT3 XLT’s and I love them on the 20. Great ride and super responsive tire.

What was the reason for the regret?

The trd wheels are forged alloys. Higher quality process that gives them strength while being lighter weight

I love the look of the TRD sport but went with the TRD Off-road because I didn’t want 20” wheels. Being older and knowing the roads around here I wanted the extra sidewall height.
