Power Steering Vibration

    Anyone have any issues with a vibration noise at fully turned?

    When I have my truck turned at full lock to either the right or left, I hear a moderate vibration sound. I popped the hood and found it coming from my power steering(or so I think). The larger hose leaving my power steering fluid was vibrating and seemed to be where the noise was coming from. Its not my tires rubbing against the fender as its all trimmed and the noise stays on when I am not moving.

    3" Lift. Might be slightly less in the front for the TSS but definitely 3" in the rear

    Huh? If you have 3” of lift in the rear, you’re telling me you have 4-5” of lift in the front? If you have 3” of rear lift with less than 3” in the front, your truck would be nose diving. How did you spend so much money on a lift and wheel/tire setup and don’t know what you have?

    Ok lets just call it level. When I measure from the ground to top of the wheel well the rear is about .25" higher than the front.
    What is your concern here? Truck is by no means nose diving. If anything it has 3" of lift with similar rake to how it rolled off the lot

    simple question to isolate the issue. You typically only raise the front to level and raise the rear an inch or so. Is it doing this while driving? Or sitting still? You should not be turning your wheels lock to lock if you aren’t moving. Especially with heavier wheel and 35” tires. Your power steering pump nor your rack is designed to be moving the wheels back and forth lock to lock on the ground if you’re not moving.

    It makes the vibration both when moving slowly and sitting still. I often have to turn lock to lock pulling out of tight parking lots or narrow drive aisles.

    What are your alignment specs? You could have too little toe and are maxing out the rack to get to full lock.

    Or you could have a loose rack bushing

    Its still under warranty so I believe the dealer just sets it to what the stock specs. If I am misspeaking I can go find the paperwork from my last alignment.

    Is the loose rack bushing easy to get to? Seems like something I could look for myself?

    Doubt you’ll get that covered under warranty. And no, lifted alignment specs are not the same as stock and 99% of techs don’t know how to align these trucks properly.

    If I go to get it aligned what would you recommend I ask for? Is this going to help the vibration problem?

    Have no idea if the alignment is even causing an issue at this point. At this point the amount of lift is unknown. The tie rod setup is unknown. The alignment specs are unknown. Nobody here is clairvoyant.
