I have a 2008 with the base radio and I'm not a big fan of aftermarket radios. There's a local guy selling a non JBL navigation radio from his 2012. Would this plug and play to my truck?

I would ask for photo of the radio's back side.
You can compare the plugs to your truck's plug. If they have the same plug and location. I dont see how it would not work. Everything should plug n play.
Tundra 2nd gen range from 2007 to 2013. So id say yes they will fit and work.

You got to make sure your truck have the gps module and plug readily available along with the other plugs. Because that unit being for sale have navigation. It need a gps module to have navigation working properly.

That mean you need to remove your current radio so you can identify all the plugs present before you buy this radio.
