What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I never post on YouTube and rarely on IG but for anyone who wants to hear a BA muffler trd replacement cold start this will take you there. I finally figured it out how to post vids here. Out with the 5100s, in with the 6112s!!! Thanks @BOSS4x4s for the awesome price and fast shipping. It was a ninety minute install. 6112s are so much beefier than the 5100s and they ride SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!! I had them assembled at the top setting (2.5") and are the same length as the 5100s on the top setting.

How do you like that Bakflip Revolver cover? I'm on the fence to get one because for the price, there are some quality issues that have arose on this and other message boards. Would like to hear your take also can you share what part of the country you’re in? I'm trying to gauge if it can withstand ~3-4 months of 95-100* and light hail a few times a year.

 

Just put mine in also two weeks ago. Get rid of the sway bars . I took mine off, and I will not go back to it

2020 Platinum...Exterior black out is complete, so moved onto interior...love the AJT products, but decided to do my own thing...started out subtle with smaller pieces but may do more, let me know what ya think!

I replaced my silver one this week, I've had a spare one in the attic for 3 years, long story.
Now when are you going to do something with those chrome vent trim rings????

That last pic is exactly what my truck looked like Friday when I replaced my silver radio bezel..

 

Friday I replaced my 4ga CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum) amp feed wiring with 0ga copper.
Found some 0ga to 4ga adapters that I could straight into the amp.
Ran a 0ga battery to chassis ground too.

I live in the Pacific Northwest so, Aquapel is one of my favorite improvements!! I always treat every vehicle with it. Treated windows shed water like crazy! When it snowed last year snow and ice came off easier too!

I don't waste my time treating the windshield(#windshieldwiper), I just do the front side windows, outside mirrors and rear window. It works like rain-x, only it last a really long time. I typically get a 1+1/2 to 2 years out of a single application. Rain-x really only seems to last a few days in wet weather. I haven't treated the Tundra yet (it needs at least 50 degrees and the truck sits outside), but I think it will take 2-3 "application packs" to cover the two front side windows, exterior mirrors and rear window. If you buy them at an autoparts store you will pay around $10 for each "pack".

Do the 6112 come with the top part (ie, ready to install complete replacement coilover unit)?

 

Took it out, removed the chrome insert, cleaned shift plate and covered with 3M di-noc carbon, scuffed/painted chrome insert, reinstalled unit.

 

you would need to buy them pre assembled or reuse your existing top plate.

 

3inch lift with wheels and tires .

 

Mine from boss 4x4 came unassembled with the top hats.

 

Now that I think of it. It is a bigger assembly so stock plate may not even work. I got my 6112s pre assembled so I brain farted lol.

Had a blown out rear 5100, so replaced both rears yesterday. Only lasted about 50k but guess can't complain too much. Certainly hope 6112s up front last a while longer though.

 

Yo folks. Got an issue. Pulled the steering wheel just now in my 2015. I didn’t disconnect the two harnesses from the clock spring, and the clock spring cap came off. Nothing broke, but do I simply wind theribbon loosely as it came out and snap thecover back on? That’s what I did, and it wentback together fine. I just don’t want anyissues when I reconnect the battery. Thanks!!

 

Trimmed the skid plate today to get ready to install some big boy tires. I have a 2.5” level, moving up to 275/65/R20’s.

 

Added new wheels and tires. And sold my Limited wheels today.

 

Just a quick 2 minutes and replaced the Cargo light bulbs with LED

 

Changed the color of my “bead lock” bolts to match the truck.

 

Had to do my steering wheel trim to match my earlier post from today with all my interior carbon fiber/black out...so much better without that bright silver!
