How are you guys running the connection for the switch panels thru the grommet on the firewall there is a small hole on the bottom but will not fit connection thru that small hole

On driver's side in the mid height there's a rubber nipple through which you can run your wires

With my light bar I had to run the connector and wire under the grommet, not through it, then lots of silicone seal around the wire. If I had it to do over again I would de-pin the connector and put the wire through the grommet, re-pin the connector on the cab side.

that was my next option but did not want to do that and mess up the pins.......my harness is ran thru the side and everything is hooked up but did not want the harness to cut with time

the harness is that very bottom piece where the two connections are at where the switch panel connects to the harness

Take a blade and try to make the hole a bit bigger. Use some grease on the wire so it slides better.

You should be able to get that connector through, mine was at least twice the size and I almost had it through. If my hands were smaller I'm pretty sure I would have gotten it through. Just cut a slice about an inch or so long in the grommet above that nipple.

Drilled a hole left of the steering column, added a rubber grommet.

yeah it's cleaner that a cutter or knife blade. You don't want to cut some wires. tool is cheap too.

Unpin the connector or cut a slit

I had switch pros send me my harness unpinned so I could run it through the nipple below the main harness. Another reason I run a switch pro, I only gotta do this once.

Yeah I had about 12 wires + switch pro + NSV plugs... A lot!. I just slit the nipple and pushed through a snake. I use a classic HVAC ziptie. Build up a taper with 33+ e- tape to the lead wires, staggering them to help spread it out. Lube it up with lots of silicone spray and pull swiftly and smoothly, you can get just about anything through with good prep.

I always check the grommet too after just to make sure it still a tight fit to the firewall.
