I have not purchased my Tundra yet and so I have to make a decision between stock vs JBL for audio. I intend to upgrade the system immediately. It looks like a few of the companies that design and sell aftermarket audio offer both a non-JBL and JBL upgrade option.

My question is would it be better to get the JBL system and order the more limited upgrade (tweeters, amp and sub) or get the stock system and order the more comprehensive upgrade (tweeters, front and rear speakers, amp and sub)? I want to keep the OEM headunit.

Which sounds better: 1. JBL system + OEM head unit+ upgraded tweeters + amp + sub or
    2. Stock system + OEM head unit + upgraded tweeters + upgraded front/rear speakers + amp + sub

    Any help is appreciated.....

    1) Leveling kit 2) Sound system upgrade 3) Color matched grill 4) Leather seat covers
From reading all the forums, they are all crap and you will eventually end up replacing them. Buy whatever option is cheapest and then upgrade.

if you want to keep the head unit, definitely non-jbl. If you are going to pull the Hu, it doesn't matter.
