if you are trying to lose weight - eat better & eat less. And unless you are an athlete trying to bulk up, there is no reason you need to supersize any food or drink.

while I don’t disagree with your post, the above doesn’t really mean anything. It just proves you can be strong as a vegetarian.
Mariusz Pudzianowski - holds the most wins for worlds strongest man competition and he eats meat. Lots of it.

That was my issue with the documentary. Same with “what the health” on Netflix. Uses scare tactics and biased bullshit propaganda with no evidence to support their claims.

Ok. But it debunks the notion that one HAS to eat meat to get enough protein. A lie we've been told for years. If you want a more science based argument, check out Forks over Knives. There is a TON of research in there that backs up their claims.

Our dietary habits and needs are less a product of nature at this point, because man has been able to alter what it naturally available. If you look at our teeth it is clear that "naturally" the animal of man would be an omnivore. Through our intelligence (or lack thereof) we have been able to do things outside the strictly natural order of biology. From a basic biological approach I believe that we would have a diet similar to that of bears. Lots of plant based food with some meat in there too.

Completely agree. I'm not saying one should never eat meat again. I love a delicious burger just as much as anyone else. But meat eating has almost become a sport. We smoke it, grill it, fry it. Every meal we eat revolves around meat. I don't think it's doing us any favors.

I’d rather not list. My wife might see it.

I would agree with this as far as red meat goes. I don't think that fish and poultry do the same kind of harm.

this. look at any native aboriginal culture. past or present. their diets are mostly vegetarian. meat was/is a delicacy. they also eat with the seasons which is huge.

highly recommend reading the omnivore's dilemma. there are other issues with american society/culture around this but i'm not going to throw that wrench.

Honest question on this front. Can you clarify? Forgive my ignorance, but this is how it was described to be by a self proclaimed vegan: Vegetarians are primarily veggies and no red meat, but animal products like dairy and some poultry and fish is ok, whereas vegan is no animal products at all. For some vegans it's purely health, and others go vegan for the no cruelty to animals bit.

Definition of vegan. : a strict vegetarian who consumes no food (such as meat, eggs, or dairy products) that comes from animals also : one who abstains from using animal products (such as leather)Sep 18, 2019

I have a harder time cutting back on cheese than meat. How can you have pizza without cheese? And don't even mention that vegan cheese crap. Even the vegans I know hate it.

By the webster definition a "true" vegan wouldn't have anything leather either. So it kind of is the whole PETA approach. I would say you eat a vegan diet, but don't avoid animal products in other aspects, right?

You couldn't do any kind of bread (pizza or otherwise) that used eggs on a true vegan diet. Like I said, I could do vegetarian, could not do vegan.

Hey guys. Can’t we just get along and have some Wurrldd Peas? There is no need to fight about this and my feelings are getting hurt seeing bacon pictures every where. Those poor piggies!

    About Vegan Meals/Diets:

    1) Don’t knock it till you try it.

    2) You’ll be amazed at how tasty some meals will be.

    3) You can always grill some slabs of whatever and eat that right alongside the vegan dish.
