I'm the new owner of a 07 Tundra ltd, 160k miles, maintenance not well documented. What are the big-dollar issues I should expect to pay for, and would it make sense to purchase an extended warranty for transmission, engine as I will be towing occasionally 5-8k lbs.
All responses appreciated, and I hope to be a regular contributor in time. Dinty

I got the extended warranty on my 07 and never used it. I bought it in 14 and it had less than 50K miles on it and probably should have passed. Now my new to me 14 I bought on July 4th had 104K and even though it has extensive maintenance records I went with a bumper to bumper 24K mile/2 year extended warranty because of the mileage. 2yr/24K was the most I could get. $100 deductible. Peace of mind thing and only a few dollars added to each payment. Repairs aren't cheap on this truck and even though I don't expect any issues....... you never know........

I did not get it on my 09 purchased new. Had I got the extended warranty I would not have gotten anything out of it. Just now had my first significant expenditure on calipers at over 10 years old. If I were buying my own truck used I would probably not bother as you can look in Toyota.com and see it has had all recommended maintenance and fluid changes on time or early, more often than required, since I bought it.

On a 2007 with 160K, yes, I would buy it.
