So during some maintenance I discovered that my power steering rack is leaking. A new or rebuilt one is somewhere between $250 and $350 and I was wondering if anybody has rebuilt their own steering rack using a seal kit that can be purchased from RockAuto and if you did, did you have any luck or was it difficult or did you end up just having to replace it?

Most people around here just buy the new rebuilt steering rack. Actually, never have read of anyone rebuilding theirs using the gasket kit, but it sounds tempting.

Tint, stereo system, lift , more to come
You would want to swap out the inner rods as well while it's off.
