1st post but a several years luker, I am trying to find some history on a used tundra I am looking at and every thing I see that has been modded would lead me to believe that it may have belonged to a member on here, the truck would of resided in East central Florida and would been traded in at a Lexus dealer on the Middle East coast of Florida. I just would like to find a little history on its condition beyond what’s on Carfax, that’s all. Any help would be much appreciated!upload_2019-12-30_14-37-16.jpg

Are you referring to mods as just being new wheels/tires or is there something more that has been done to the vehicle?

That TRD Pro grille didn't come on the TRD Off-Road package.

Yes, beyond the SCS rays (?), there are items done that would make me think that whomever did owned this tundra at one time followed this forum. Just to many to have not. The truck has been sitting on a lot for almost 6 months not moving and this is making me a step back and want to find a little history if possible as I am wanting to upgrade my daily driver, if not no loss, thanks for any help.

I definitely wouldn't rely on carfax to be accurate.

Your best bet would be to spend a little money and get a PPI, (PrePurchase Inspection), done at a Toyota dealer or a trusted mechanic.
I recommend this only from my experience buying used. My brother-In-law is working on rebuilding a Porsche 911GT2RS, after the new owner wrecked his new car when he decided to take off all the nannies. That wreck caused $170k in damages to a $260K car. In order not to diminish the cars value. The owner is paying everything out of pocket to make sure there's no carfax report. Either way good luck and keep us posted!

That's crazy! But seems kind of dumb as it seems he will lose more paying out of pocket than diminishing value. Not to mention if ever put up for sale the right inspector will know in a second it had work done. Wish I had money to burn like that!
