I’m looking at buying a 07 or 08 tundra with big wheels and a 4 inch lift, there is a side step, but I’m 5’7, will I need to sit on something in the drivers seat to sit comfortably in the cab?

You mean in the sense of you having to beat the ladies away? Yes...that’s a common problem with these tundras...
Unless your name’s lieutenant dan, you’re gonna be fine.

I'm 5'11" and I like the running boards to step up on. Probably better to have them. Wife is 5'2" and would struggle seriously trying to get in without having a step.

An 07 or 08 will have driver and passenger side grab handles which makes a big difference.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Invest in a drives side grab handle that mounts to the (A) piller if you’re new truck doesn’t have one.
    Good luck.

    Working on it
Only loading the bed , I have a 3/2 lift with 34" tires and I'm 5'6 , anything heavy is a lot of fun getting in and out of the the bed, but then it's a great workout. Also keep a 4 foot step ladder in back for washing and drying her. Still LOVE THE RIDE.

At 5’2” I get in I step on sliders but inside I do not sit on anything other than stock seats, no pillow or cushion.

Not really. I mean the back part of the seat is tilted just slightly but not overly. I feel I have a good gauge of the sides of the truck as far as being in traffic and I see fine over the hood.

The seat is very high in it's lowest setting. I'm 6' and look out the upper part of the windshield almost even with the rear-view mirror. I actually want to lower my seats but it's quite the project. The high setting on the seat is ridiculously high. You won't need a booster seat in this truck.

OP’s question was about sitting in the seat, looking over the hood, not getting in a lifted tundra.

Trailer brake. Limousine tint in rear windows. Ultra Gauge "Blue". Toyota bed mat and bug deflector.
And ALWAYS use it to get in and out of the truck, which will increase the life of the left side leather on the driver's seat.
