Sold my 2016 TRD PRO - Currently in BMW 535d Wagon
Hey everyone! I’ve been living in the land of BMW and Porsche for two years and forgot most of my Toyota knowledge. Basically I’m coming home in six months and want to figure out the best way to get back to my 2016 TRD Pro. Do I hunt for a used one, or do I buy a TRD Off road and swap out parts to get there? Are there any threads on this already? Has there been enough change in the Pro since 2017 for me to seriously look at a new one?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Personally I think PRO is overrated !
Buy a truck with options you need/ want and build your own suspension from there- lots of aftermarket setups BETTER then PRO - just depends on time & $$$$$ as ALWAYS !!

I bought strip down 18’ TUNDRA- because wanted to keep initial cost-point DOWN -
Then BUILD truck as time and MONEY allows

Your money/ choice - you do you !!

    Good luck

This is just my opinion, would buy a Limited Trim Tundra and:

-King shocks on all corners, rear leaf pack of your choosing.
-Tires and wheels of your choice...hell, go nuts and get some Pro Wheels.

Your welcome. You now have a better truck than a Pro.

An older SR5 would be your best value, then build it out the way you want it.

    Welcome from SoCal!

Get a limited base with the largest gas tank and modify, improve on shocks and maybe the leafs.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
If your going to replace tires and wheels buy 18” or 17” If they are offered. The wider the side wall the better it will ride with all suspension up grades you might do.
Just my opinion now that I had 18” and 20” tires on the Tundra.

Thanks everyone for the info! I’ve missed my TRD Pro, but not happy with the 10k price bump that happened during my time outside the states.

I’ll start looking through the threads to find the best way to mod a Limited.

    Hey there from Virginia!:mudding:
I concur with everything previously stated. Get the Limited with all the bells and whistles, build your own suspension, add Pro 18" wheels and Nittos or BFGs. You can always add TRD Pro decals if need be.

I’d suggest getting a Platinum; less stuff to de-chrome later
