i think it'll look good. probably going to do a dark silver for accents in the truck with just a hint of red to kinda go with the TRD theme. we shall see

Did you remove the strip completly? Are there any mounting holes in that track? I’m thinking roof rack mounted to factory holes in that track.

No. No mounting holes. Just track with dabs of goo or double sided tape stuff that I saw. Just lifted it up and cleaned as best as possible.

That was my question as well. I'm probably going to remove mine and paint it off the truck. I want to get a good coat of wax into that channel to protect it. My stepdad's Frontier rusted out in that spot. I'll post some pictures once I'm done.

Finally have working keyless entry on the tundra. The magical number I needed for the remotes was in the owner manual.. doh

I had a busy afternoon. I washed the truck and finished the drip molding refresh. I removed them, cleaned out the channels. Hit a few spots with touch up paint. Then I sanded and painted the rubber molding. For anyone that does this, make sure you pay attention to how they lay. I did it backwards before realizing my mistake.

I have a few stubborn spots that don't want to stay down so I'm using tools as weights. Hopefully they are fine by the morning.

I also copied Hand Models method to try and get a few more years out of the rubber mats.I taped the holes and painted them with Bed Liner.

And I removed the LED fogs and put my old Sylvania units in.

Took the truck to my guy today. He’s going to look at it either after the first of the year or sometime in the spring. Off just what we could measure today. The frame on the passenger side down 1/8” on the passenger side starting at the end of the cab. He will also fix the cab corner and repaint the door jamb again.

Rears came in, scored a deal on these when a coupon for BOGO somehow worked and got pricing to match Amazon at $71 each, was waiting to see if they’d actually ship and sure enough. Buddy tried and it kicked it out, so to the website programmer that missed a loophole, cheers:cheers:

Still waiting on my bulbs but I had some h3 bulbs from way back and I was able to use them to get the projectors level. The output is completely $hit I'm assuming due to the h3 bulb being significantly shorter and probably only coming to the base of the projector bowl. Anyway they looked to be aimed level and probably about where I want them. I only have my wife's MB to go off of at this moment. I got the h4 adapters jb welded on there and tomorrow I'll put the housings back together and await my h1 bulbs.
Hopefully by tomorrow night I'll have better lights. I'll also use window weld to seal the existing 3 holes in the back of the housing.

Silly question, but while he has it … any chance there's room to tuck the front & rear bumpers in 1.5" each?

    Update on the lights..
Not the best picture. I'll try and get a better one later, but they sure work well and have a nice throw for a flood light.

Also trying out some accessories for the molle rack.

Ooh I might just have to do one of those. Hell I can just laser the thing out. The hardest part would be mounting it and removing the headliner. Looks like I have some homework!

Hell I'm jealous too. I just have a CNC plasma at my shop. I'm just lucky enough to know how to run the laser at work. That thing is amazing.

It takes less than an hour to pull the headliner. It's just tedious. The hardest part for me was making sure everything lined up.

Three pieces of 1x1" 1/8" aluminum tubing with two rivnuts in each.

Well I should get practiced at it anyway. I keep itching for a roof rack and I need to see what's there to mount to. I also want to see if I can add some more sound deadener to the roof area. Besides behind the dash and the roof I've hit most the obvious spots for sound.

That's pretty neat. I could paint or derp mine for cheaper. I just really like the new bedside decals and I hate that the PO put the 1st gen decals higher than stock so they look out of place. Same mistake I made after repainting my 99 taco and it bugged me when I realized it

Did you buy new housings with projectors already installed instead of doing the retrofit?

Edit- read your post closer. You did retrofit then? Who did you buy the projectors from?

Nice! Those mats look brand new. They will be a little stiffer now as well. Let them sit outside for a few days to off gas most of the smell. You’ll smell the mats a bit for about a month or so inside before it fully going away.
