North Coast of St. Barts got like that one time back in 2005. Lost the pic during my flip phone switch over.

 

I would love to have a low miles, V8 Stepside Access Cab that I can keep for myself... all the others have been passed on to family members after rebuilds and upgrades... with my prior one being sent down to Lackland AFB in San Antonio (this past June) to my nephew. Mica Jade, Grey leather, heated seats, Limited... wish I could have ordered one new back in 05 or 06, back then I would have done a T3 black interior conversion... just because!!!

 

I bought some vacuum line tips at Autozoned for like $2.29 a box of 6.

I think these Russels do come with condoms. Not ordering until size/thread/pitch confirmation.

They have many good reviews of guys saying how the bleeders saved their relationships due to their gurrl frens not having to pump their pedals for half an hour. Hahahaha

The bleeder check valves allow for a one man bleeding operation with no need for those yard sprayer do dads pumping up things.

 

Cleaned up my auxiliary/solar setup some.

 

Did a suck and fill of the power steering.
Test drove to see if I improved the brakes last night. Did the back up and stop. Exercised the parking brake. Pedal feels maybe 20% better. Still not great but better. Decided to take a little more slack from that turnbuckle.

Also busted out this new Beast my wife got me for Christmas. Bummed it's made in China but it was on sale and most everything is made in China now sadly.



Oh, and while doing a drain+fill on the Rav4's transmission I found a small coolant leak. Interesting.

 

Wait there was a black interior??

 

Does your 2019 head unit not retain the stock amp?

 

Getting down on the rear bumper today. Stock bumper is only a few #s lighter than the after market high clearance!

 

PCV ($7), differential breather mod ($8), and plugs ($48) came in today - hopefully tomorrow I’ll have these all in, curious to see how my plugs look. This should be the bulk of my maintenance, LBJ’s are up next.

My 2005 had a charcoal interior...not black, but fairly dark.

 

Where did you find a DBM for $8?

 

Really curious what exactly these will do. Looks neat!

 

Should I be bleeding the load sensing proportional brake valve in addition to doing the 4 wheels?

 

My truck did not have the amp. I wonder if it could be used.. hmm

 

No point unless you’ve introduced air before it.

 

Progress slowed with the rear bumper, mounting holes didn’t line up right. So I made a hoopty license plate holder!

oh and I lubed the snot out of the spare tire cable assembly with triflow, It rolled up like butter!

 

Went out and tried to replace my old ripped and cracking headlight bulb rubber covers only to find out the new ones don't fit. Any ideas? Pretty sure I got the right part number (81139-0C020) but they are quite a bit smaller in diameter than my old ones.

 

I know on my aftermarket assys when I pulled the new rubber cover off and tried to re-install it after fitting the LED’s it was a tight fit. Needed to be stretched back on.

Looks like two different part numbers. Not sure which applies to you as you have the one so its maybe the other? Or you need to really stretch the new one in place.

So I did a bit of examining my suspension parts tonight... is it normal to need to compress the springs down to install the top hats even on the lowest clip setting? I got 14” springs and it’s looking like they aren’t compatible with my Pro-Truck shocks. I moved the clip down to the bottom rung and I’d still need to compress the spring by 2” or so to get it to seat on the shaft.

 

yes, otherwise if you were able to install the top hat and the spring was still loose there wouldn't be any tension on the strut perch bottom and tophat. Coil springs need to be compressed (with a spring compressor) to be removed and installed.

 

My new stereo had a more powerful amp built in than the factory external amp so I just went around it.

My man! My work gave us all next week off at the last minute (announced Friday) for having a killer 2nd half of the year. So obviously my first thought was "what can I do to my truck?". My first idea was to start a rear bumper, but I think I have enough odds and ends and I probably could do more work on my front bumper.
So what's the plan for your rear bumper?
