I had been noticing hesitation and stuttering under WOT acceleration, but yesterday was bad and it threw cylinder 6 misfire code.

I swapped 4 & 6 coil packs and sure enough, cylinder 4 misfire today. So I have new coil packs arriving today but an observation....

On the faulty pack there is clear evidence of arcing about halfway up the boot and that orange powdery substance. But I see that orange stuff on every pack, but none as bad as #6.

Question is, can I do anything to prevent or minimize the arcing from occurring with new packs?
