Think about how expensive the Tundra would be of it had all the bells and whistles as the competitors. Start with a Land cruiser,a a bed and even more gadgets. Done.

    $100,000

The problem is that I don't think any professional reviewer would ever be caught dead in a vehicle with that many miles on it. They do what they do so they can always be in the latests and greatest.

Hahaha, some old delivery lady drove it. Trucks name was Clyde, and I believe Toyota also gave her a new truck. Pedal to the metal :mudding:

Toyota [Japanese Headquarters] brought in an American who used to work as a higher up in one of the big 3 to explain to them what Americans want in a truck [cuz they DO NOT know].

There is still apparently some disconnect between the American and Japanese mind set when it comes to trucks.

Also, the way they set their trims up and added packages is weird. It doesn't make sense. No matter what Tundra you buy, they've jacked something up on it [regarding options]. It's just the way it is.

That said, I still love it.

You mean the guy that use to work at Dodge? I don't like that guy Mike something. He is a little behind the times. They need a new lead development person whose up to date.

Give me my roof grab handles on the driver's side please. I have a bad knee and God knows that handle helps.

I miss the manual transmission too. I had a Corolla XRS that had 275,000 on the original clutch. Plus when the automatic transmission goes, you are looking at (not sure) $3000 to replace it. With a manual, a new clutch should be 1/3 that. A manual Transmission rarely goes unless you abuse them.

BTW: At a car show I asked the Toyota rep about a manual transmission option. He told me "Your living in the past. Never again."

    Not nearly enough room here!
Very few Tundra owners will even 'dare' to learn the Sequential Shifter. I can't imagine in these days of "do it for me", who'd be interested in a manual transmission.

I would like to see some of these top YouTube channel reviewers go back and critique their original review of an earlier tundra by reviewing the same model using a truck that has at least 100k been there & done that miles on it.
