    I have a 2004 Tundra DC V8 4WD and I need the front pipes / cats.

I found a 2004 Tundra DC V8 2WD that has pipes but I was told that they are not interchangeable with the 4WD. Can anyone confirm this please?

Roman replied to a PM telling me that the drivers side is different.
Now I need to find a driver side OEM front pipe cat from a 4WD.

    Thanks

Maybe they designed it to be so. I looked at Toyota OEM Parts website and they list two different numbers for the drivers side. I can’t imagine that they would design that was and create a different part for 2wd vs 4wd.
the used parts are on their way, I guess I will match it up and see what the difference is.
I will likely be looking for a drivers side 4wd front pipe / cat very soon. OEM only and seeking the 2wd one.
    Thanks

    Actually,
I just looked at the part that you provided and it has a flex pipe so it can be moved around a bit. It’s not rigid construction. I wonder if that’s there reason it can fit both variants.

My studies from last year show that for my model 2002 V8 that the cats replacement had two options: One for California and another for the rest of the Union.

I was reading that deleting cats added more power? How does one delete cats and trick the rearward O2 sensors from CEL? All good questions.

From the reading I’ve done, deleting the cats on these trucks could/will lose power (low end torque) if that’s all your doing. Now if we’re talking custom system starting with headers, mid pipes, x pipe and exhaust all the way back that’s a different story. o2 simulators would need to be used to prevent CEL’s.

I hope this is the case. The front pipes are scheduled to arrive today.

UPS is holding my shipment hostage due to “Weather”. Nonsense. The delivery was scheduled for Thursday. It was out on their truck according to their website. I keep on looking at the updates and they continually reschedule due to weather.
I wish they would just be honest and say that they are overwhelmed.
I want to verify that they will fit.
