2007 Tundra windshield freezes over all the time. Defroster is about as useful as teats on a bull. Must manually remove ice. Live in Minnesota. Ideas?, maybe make Toyota put in HEATED windshield?

Do you switch the defrosters back to floor or vent once the window is fog free on the inside and ice free on the outside?

Mine work so good it heats the window so the snow on the outside turns to water, then it freezes when you add wind chill from speed of moving.

Snow doesn't stick to cold glass.

My truck is a 2007 without a heated/electric windshield. when windshield has ice on or above wipers it takes an extremely long time to de-ice. Again, I live in frozen ass Minnesota, don't ask why I've stayed.....maybe I like paying taxes to deadbeat government officials?

Just read this post. Disregard that the lawsuit was thrown out. My friends girlfriends Nissan Murano had issues.

    Is it that
    A) the heater doesn't blow hot enough air
    or
    B) the hot air doesn't come out the defrost vents?

"A" suggests low coolant, clogged heater core, etc. while "B" could be faulty blend door actuators or something else behind the dash.

I was going to suggest using a spray on defroster and then having your heater looked at that or use an inverter and a blow dryer

I love Rain X, its all I use. What the hell is a windshield washer level sensor? Can people not tell if their washers are squirting or not? Is this a millennial thing?

Anyway, I'm MT, and I've never had my defroster fail to warm my windshield enough to melt all the snow and ice from it. The air that comes out of my windshield vents is probably 100º I'd look into your heater core or coolant system.

Washer level sensor shows when washer tank gets low on fluid, when it fails, even when tank is full it still shows level low on screen. I'm not sure if 1 gen tundras has same sensor as newer ones. Mine got messed up after use of Rainx

    They don't.

Man, I hate new vehicles. What a ridiculous feature.

My first test would be to put the heat as hot as it will go and turn the fan on high. With air blowing at your face is it hot? If not then you have a heater core or blender door problem most likely. If hot switch to defrost and put your hand up by the vent and see how hot the air is. If it's cold then you've got a servo issue. If cold the next thing I would do is turn the engine off, the radio (and anything else that makes noise) off, and the fan on the lowest speed (not sure if this test will work if it's off). Now turn the knob between defrost and blowing on your feet and listen for a faint sound of a motor. You should hear the servo as it redirects the flow. If you can't then you may need to replace the servo.

Hopefully it's a servo problem and not a heater core or blender door as that requires the whole dash to be removed so the heater box can be removed.

I joined to see what is possible
When I lived in Alaska I installed a small portable heater at passenger foot rest area with temp adjuster and had it plugged in over night. Kept the cabin of the car warm enough that nothing froze over on the car. Never had to remove snow or deice anything.

You don't by chance have a clogged cabin filter restricting air flow? Another useless/overpriced expense to me.
