I'm having trouble keeping this little front mudflap intact offroad. Does anyone else have that issue or is it just me?? This is the second one I've "removed" offroad.... should I just take them off? Also how much mpg does it really save? Is it even noticable without them on there? Thanks

Took mine off, haven't noticed any change in mpg but I wasn't watching closely.

On the highway above 60mph, the flap helps with aerodynamics and you gain .2-.4mpg.

In the city it doesn't help with aerodynamics but does add additional weight which causes you to lose .1-.2 mpg.

Took mine off the first week. No negative effect in 1.5 years of ownership.

I have learned that those are called "spats", and they don't do much cuz one of mine cracked and fell off so I took the other off. Nothing noticeable.

I literally just took these off today. None of my vehicles have ever had a “spat”. They look dumb and serve no real purpose for me. Didn’t buy the tundra for the MPG
