I'll try to keep my story short...2cd winter with my new to me 2014 dc 4x4
First winter, tires Kevlar Wranglers...going over a bridge highway speed, truck(me) very suddenly go over the middle line;approximately 3 feet. Traction control light did come on.(unexpected)
This year, new Wildpeaks ...I knew the roads were icy so stepped on it on a straight away to see what happens. Traction control comes on and again pulled to the middle.(ready for it)
I've been driving for over 30 years, all my trucks have had none working ABS or traction controls. I'm thinking off turning it(traction control) off for winter, I don't think I'm over steering or doing anything I havnt done in the past. Is it possible the traction control is faulty or is it just me?
Last year still bothers me, I could of really hurt someone This year was just a test, no one coming.

I'm not gonna say I'm an expert driver, but when it snows around home I do get out and play a little on the roads when no one is around. I agree with what you're saying. It is great for its intended purpose but it causes more harm than good when I don't want it to work (while out playing obviously) the steering starts jerking and locking up where it thinks it needs to be and I've almost wrecked a couple times trying to drift a snow covered turn or even sling some donuts in an empty parking lot just because of the steering jerking me around and the ABS and Traction Control crap. I would be 100% cool without having any of it on or even try to still assist when I hit TC OFF button... anyone got anything on that one?
