Since there doesnt seem to be a general "electrical" forum I'll post here. My SR5 did not come with fog lights, nor did it come with headlight adjustment (the little dial you guys have to lower the headlights when hauling something). I am planning on installing fog lights, and doing a xenon retrofit with a set of platinum headlights (that presumably have the headlight servo). Do all 3rd gen tundras have the same wiring harness? I am hoping there is a plug behind the bumper for the fog lights, and a plug somewhere behind the dash (I dont have the fog lights on my turn stalk) and I'm hoping there is a corresponding pair of plugs for the headlight adjustment. I dont want to add a fog light option onto the stalk, I'd rather have a switch on the dashboard beside the cargo light switch so that they are independant of the headlights. If the answer is no, my harness is different, then I'll just run new wires if I have to. On a similar note, do the regular cab wiring harnesses have capped off speaker wires for the "back" speakers (the ones I dont have) that I could conveniently use as signal wires for an underseat sub?

    Thanks guys.

Hopefully someone will have some answers for you, but pulling panels and seeing what you actually have would be a fun project too. By regular cab, I assume you are referring to a single cab? if so, I doubt there is a speaker wire capped off anywhere for "back speakers" As far as the platinum headlights, There is no plug for the LED DRL behind the grille or headlights anywhere. I just did this upgrade on mine and I had to pull a wire for them off the ignition switch circuit in the fuse panel.

Yeah I was going to get a wiring harness adapter somewhere for the led drl, well see when I get there. I just noticed that I can fade my stereo back, and the sound obviously just goes away as I have no speakers there, this made me curious if there were wires somewhere hiding that I could tap into rather than pull the dash apart to get a signal wire.

I agree that taking things apart is fun, I already got into the dash a bit when I put in my brake controller...however it is currently colder than a witches tit here where I live, and I dont have acess to a garage that my truck fits into. This is the only reason I havent rolled around on the ground and looked behind the bumper myself...I'm only 38 but I swore I'd never do that stuff again many years ago.
