Hello guys, I bought a 12 tundra sr5 and it has Akkon taillights. I came home and one was GONE....dont ask. All thats left is harness containing one plug and an orange met all deal along with a small plug below it. So I found one on Amazon. It has one main plug going to break light them nothing but two plug holes. Went to oreileys and realized theres only one plug for 2 bulbs and this orange deal I assume is what the previous owner set up for led or halogen bulbs??? Any ideas how to run this or whys its wired this way? I'll try to post some pics. Any input would be great! Thanks

The main plug should be for your tail and brake lights. I think the Akkons you're looking at are LED just on the tail and brake. The other holes are for your turn and reverse lights. The orange thing is a resistor for controlling hyper flash of the turn signal. The previous owner probably had LED turn signal bulbs which require resistors.

Looks like you're missing one of the pig tails and socket. There should be 3 sockets... tail/stop, reverse, and turn signal.

It's hard to tell from your picture. The harness looks to be full length but is possibly missing a plug. The plugs I see look to be the brake / tail light plug and the reverse light plug. I'm not seeing the turn signal plug. Are there any wires just hanging out?

No wires hanging out. Shoukd that orange deal have the 3 plugs coming from it? There's a plug under the truck mounted behind bumper that i have no idea what it's for. Whst a mess. The other side has all rusted striped bolts for that light so it's s nightmare to get off for comparison.

The resistor shouldn't have any plugs on it. It just gets spliced in line with the ground and turn signal wires. If you can, stretch out the harness and get another pic of it and one of the plug underneath so we can get a better look.
