Hello all! I purchased a 2019 TRD Pro in April. Recently had some issues and the check engine light came at 14k miles. The Toyota dealer tells me the oil level was low and they found a flat spot on the number 5 cylinder exhaust valve that’s causing the oil consumption. Has anyone heard of this or experienced this before in Tundras?

    More data, plz.

You bought it new and logged all 14K miles? The oil was changed at 10K?

Pretty vague answer for oil consumption. I would like to hear more details.

    Subbed.

Sounds like somebody on the engine line thinks the “5 second rule” applies to dropped exhaust valves as well as food items....
