MORIMOTO XB LED HEADLIGHTS 16+

I'm a member on tacomaworld/tundraworld but joined here since the GB updates were better compared to those sites. I'm order 7804. Can't say I'm not disappointed; especially how I took a chance on this, paid off my credit card yesterday morning, then come in expecting updates and almost shit my pants. I called my CC company and I have not received a refund yet; still too early to tell.

 

Refunds were issued yesterday so they should be back completed next week. If you don't see the refund after Thanksgiving let me know.

Also did you receive emails of cancelation? If not let me know and I'll resend it. Emails went out yesterday but seems some didn't receive it.

 

I have not received any e-mails regarding this purchase. I had to print my confirmation as a PDF so I would have a record of it.

Well I posted a example of a large business, but ok, lets post a example of a small family owned business, lets say a local convenience store. So do you believe that they or any other station makes money on gasoline? No they do not, its a loss leader, any margin on it is going to be a break even one at best. So why does that small family owned business sell gas? Simple to get you to stop, get gas, come inside for that gallon of milk, or fountain soda, or 6 pack of your favorite adult beverage, lets not forget the chips, dips, jerky smokes etc. Oh that those last minute impulse buys at the counter, that most likely have a margin of 200% or more. See that's how they stay in business, have a loss leader to get some one in and then make the margin/profit on the impulse buys or convenience buys.

I don't see anyone roasting you, what I read are folks upset at how the group buy was handled, what they perceive as poor communication. That's what I read when I read this thread.

I also don't feel why you are asking the mods to come in here, you can, heck you can report this post and me if you like, but I don't see any attacks on you at all. If the mods of this board consider my posting here out of line, they can contact me, lock or close my account at their desire, but again I am attacking you, I am tho trying to show the other side of the coin so to speak.

Yes sir I remember your leave of absence from the board and why, and I feel for you in that matter but that has nothing to do with the group buy at hand, IMO and respectfully I believe that's a deflection away from the issue.

As far as any other discounts, well it is your business run it as you see fit, but to alienate a segment of possible future sales seems not logical to me but hey it is your business.

As for other businesses I am sure if Roman or Ihacker did that same the results would be the same.

Thanks for your response and no I wasnt talking about your comment at all. I was referring to previous posts from other members. I respect your opinions and your examples are spot on. But again your examples don't fit these scenarios. Drop shipping is another story and is more unpredictable.

I only stated the leave of absence for examples of some people's behavior on this forum. Ihacker makes his harness the same as I made the same conversion harness before. Making and shipping your own products is alot easier than shipping others products. back then I controlled pricing, shipping, warranty work the same goes for the retrofits. Same thing applies to Roman. But when dealing with a supplier it makes things much more difficult especially when trying to offer a deal for my fellow Tundra owners. I sell every Xb headlight Morimoto has and this discount was the biggest I offered. I thought everyone would be appreciative instead they began complaining about ETA despite the terms.

Again not something I wanted to do as far as canceling the remaining orders but again it is out of my hands and again I apologize for the cancellations

Our supplier policies changed 3 times and we had to make adjustments or cancel orders. Problem is the pricing of these headlights and the supplier kept changing it despite the original policies that were made. So we have to make changes since the supplier made changes. Its business theres nothing I can do about. But one thing learned is not to offer such a huge discount on products like these.

Well, I ordered my lights from Lightwerkz yesterday and within an hour got tracking information. When I mentioned what happened here the gentleman offered me a discount and said they received NOTHING from TRS stating a price increase........

I own a business as well and there have been a few times where I had to take a loss to make customers happy. One time in particular John Deere priced a machine wrong in it's dealer pricing, I quoted a customer and made a deal. John Deere corrected the pricing, but it was too late. I honored my price to the customer and lost almost 3 grand, but I keep my word and didn't screw the customer. Guess that's why my family has been in business for 67 years................

 

I said trs changed policies and pricing for dealers. The discount that was offered is now below the price is dealers pay for headlights. I kept my word and honored all warranty work for retrofits and conversion harness before I even though people still complained. And of course I took losses especially ony personal products I offered If there wasn't a policy change the remaining orders would have not been canceled.

Again if anyone has issued with refund please let me know! Otherwise have a happy Thanksgiving!

I was the one who came to your defense, but this is starting to become stupid. Most CC merchants don't even allow charging a card before the items ship. How many orders did you get for this GB alone, 10, 25, 50, 100? You charged everyone a grand immediately, sat on the 10K, 25K, 50K, 100K for how long and then pulled this. Say whatever you want, get upset at the members who grumbled about shipping/fulfillment time (which I'm on your side about), but how this entire thing was handled on your end hasn't been very professional.

I ordered another set from lightwerkz.net for even less than your GB ($977.50 shipped with the discount code) on Saturday and it shipped this (Monday) morning. According to @19Platinum, lightwerkz says TRS has NOT increased the prices for dealers. If you want members to believe you're not pulling a fast one here, you might want to post some proof that this actually happened, because as of right now, it just looks like you pulled a fast one on us all.

I hope that is not the case.

Well got the new resistors on from headlight revolution they sent me to try to solve my sequential blinker on the Morimoto hyperflashing.Im sad to say it’s a big no they did not do a thing.Blinker still hyperflashing in sequential mode.I have spyder taillights led,does anyone have knowledge of how to get my sequential turn signal working this is turned into a pain in the ass

 

What year Tundra do you have?

 

2017 crew max sr5 and yes I put the new flasher relay box in on left side of dash inside the cab.Been nothing but a pain in the ass trying to get sequential turn signals to work still nothing but hyperflash when I have it on sequential

 

Edit, contacted Lightwerkz and they confirmed they stocked up on the lights before policy changed.

*UPDATE* so I got in contact with lightwerkz and looks light they stocked up before new policies. They are also offering a great and better deal on the headlights. So for those who still want them I recommend you guys purchase from them

Confirming my refund was recieved on my CC today. And ordered from lightwerkz who is currently selling them for $920, shipped.

 

Order from good guy lightwerkz shipped already.

Not sure how lightwerkz was able to lock in pricing without my money when OP couldn't lock in pricing with cash in hand but... ok.

 

They stocked up on literally half the shipment when trs got them. I was having them drop shipped so they are able to lock in they're price point and ship themselves. Huge gamble they took stocking up on a large amount of a new expensive product but looks like it's paying off for them.

Emails resent! Could be going in your spam folder so check there. All refunds were issued at the same time. Like stated before it depends on your CC and bank how long it takes to show up on your account. If nothing after Thanksgiving let me know!

Anyone know how to solve hyperflashing on sequential turn signal on these Morimoto headlights.works in Normal turn signal mode but hyperflashing when I go to sequential turn signal.I have spyder taillights l

 

What year is that? Did you have the DRL LED version lights to start with? Trying to find out if the dash light warning has been corrected.

 

I ordered from somewhere else as well on Sunday, they're out for delivery right now.

Cptnfun, are your rear lights LED as well? if you get a chance, unplug them and see if you're still experiencing the hyperflashing. It might not be the same, but on my motorcycle I had to swap a relay when I converted to LED lights to keep them from hyperflashing. Its still a 12v system, so.... possible? It seems to be the only difference between you and others who have done the same install without issue.
