Hi everyone! I'm new here! And am hoping someone can help me! I installed a pop N lock recently on my 2010 Toyota Tundra and all it working fine now, however I quick spliced into the third wiring harness down on the passenger side kick plate and I spliced to the white wire without issue however before I spliced into the smaller light blue wire I accidentally spliced into the slightly larger darker blue wire and nothing happened until about a week later when I received the P2440 error code and I'm wondering if by chance as the quick splice was meant for a smaller wire that I damaged this wire and if indeed it was related to the Tundras air system? My error code is showing air system switching value stuck open bank 1. If anyone has any ideas if this could be related to my splicing error before I go out and buy a new air system value or pay $$$ to have it replaced. Thank you!

Doubt it is related, most likely it is AIP failure, it should be covered by Toyota for 10 years or 150k miles based on the year of the truck. Mine failed when my truck was 10 years 5 weeks old and Toyota said sorry we cannot help you, only had 68k miles. I ended up putting in the Hewett tech bypass kit and it has been great since, dealer wanted $2300 to fix it.

    It's 2010 it's got about 199,500kms on it so that's 124274mi @MacCTD

I left the old quick splice connector attached so I don't have to cut the cord and crimp it or anything like that. I hope it didn't affect it but the wire is slightly big for the quick splice connector. Will try and upload photos later. Also very strange ever since this error code any use of the climate control (especially heat or window de-fog) gets me a very awful fumes smell in the cabin nearly instantly.

Is it that hard to do it yourself? Part seems not too expensive on Amazon...

I'm not wanting to spend insane amounts of money, I've heard of people just cleaning them too even.

    Pretty much everything
If you had hurt anything with the wiring it would have been a Bxxxx code not a Pxxxx. And I don’t know of an aftermarket scanner that can read body codes, pretty sure you can read airbag with aftermarket but I believe you need Toyota’s tech stream to access body code. Please correct me if there is an aftermarket
