Had a 2011 Tundra.was a great truck until I was rearended and was totaled. Had no complaints with my truck. So I purchase a 2017. The seats are uncomfortable and hard. Does anyone else have this problem? I wish I had the seats from my 2011. The plastic part where my seat controls are has already busted. I had to zip tie it. Worse seats toyota has made.

What trim level is your Tundra? Cloth seats? Leather?

I went from a 2013 SR5 to a 2017 platinum and the seat in my new truck are far better. From what I’ve read the platinum has different seats then all the other trim levels and that would explain it.

Also try getting seat covers. I got mine from Costco the coverking neoprene material. About 200 for the front best seat covers. Made my seats much better. Plus you can throw them in the washing machine and air dry. They are a bitch to put on but fit perfect. I have pictures of them on my thread 2018 build.

That part broke on my 2014 after 4 years.

There is a hook on the front that connects to the frame and a screw that goes into it on the side under the seat from what I remember.
The stress from weight on it getting in and out of the truck stripped the screw going into the plastic.
I first used a bigger screw, but eventually it failed.

Ordered another one from @Roman @toyotofcoolsprings and all is well.

I have no discomfort of the seats.
A lot more comfy than that the bench seat of my 2005..
Even more so after I put aftermarket seat heaters..

I went from a 2003 SR5 to my 2017 SR5 CM a couple months ago. My seats were comfy enough on the 3600 mile drive we did just after buying it.

I’m just now getting used to how W I D E the cab is. A 300+ pounder could be slouching and sprawling and have plenty of room!
